We offer comprehensive wellness packages, vaccinations, internal medicine for well and sick pets, radiology, dental cleaning, and soft tissue surgery, including spays and neuters. We also have full grooming services including bathing, nail trims, and ear cleaning. We also offer boarding as a home-away-from-home, especially for pets requiring medical treatments and veterinary care.

  • Heather Roberts, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Heather Roberts is a native Northwest Houstonian.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in 1998 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002, both from Texas A&M University.  She has worked primarily in northwest Houston and College Station, Texas, as a small animal practitioner.  Together, she and Dr. Halbrook purchased Cypress Falls Animal Hospital with the goal of providing affordable, quality pet care in an environment that is stress-free for pets and feels like home to their humans. Her primary interests are surgery, dermatology, cardiology and client education.

    Dr. Roberts has one son who currently lives in Denton.  She spends her free time with a variety of projects and interests to include quilting, crocheting, cooking, traveling, camping and hiking.

    She currently has many small rescue dogs. Her favorite aspect of being a veterinarian is experiencing the human-animal bond and finding new ways to teach families about responsible pet ownership.  Her goal is to help people and their pets have many happy, healthy years together.

  • Betty Halbrook, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Betty Halbrook is a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is originally from the Dallas area, and has worked in the Houston and Katy areas since graduation. She and Dr. Roberts bought Cypress Falls Animal Hospital in December of 2009. Her interests includes cultivating close personal relationships with clients and pets, internal medicine, dermatology and radiology. Her outside interests include cooking, gardening and fishing. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her three wonderful nieces in Tyler. Her fur-babies are Nestle, a long-haired chihuahua, and 2 rescue cats, Rufus and Dufus.

  • Bekki Watts, DVM

    Veterinarian


    Dr. Watts worked for 4 years in Congo, Africa and rehabilitated baby chimpanzees with Jane Goodall. It was at this time she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Watts attended high school here in the Cypress area. She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Texas A&M University in 2004 and attended Oklahoma State University's Veterinary School. In 2010, after graduation she and her husband moved to Mozambique, Africa where she owned a small animal and equine practice, trained Mozambiquan veterinarians, and volunteered with NGOs such as PATA Mozambique and Animal Welfare Ilha.


    Dr. Watts has known and worked with Dr. Roberts and Dr. Halbrook for over ten years. She was a veterinary technician for them in College Station, Texas before attending veterinary school. She has 2 young daughters, Victoria and Slade. Her first "baby" is a mixed breed dog, Sadie (a parvovirus rescue while working as a veterinary technician at A&M). Dr. Watts' hobbies include riding horses, running, reading, and traveling.

  • Liz Edwards, DVM

    Veterinarian

    Dr. Liz Edwards graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude, in 2012 from the same university. Her interests include internal medicine, opthalmology and geriatric medicine. Dr. Edwards has lived most of her life in College Station, but she was born in Germany and loves to travel. In her spare time she enjoys reading, quilting and cooking.

    She and her husband currently have two fur-children: Rosco, a loving yellow lab and Apollo, a very mischievous cat.

  • Carol

    Veterinarian Assistant


    Carol started elementary school and graduated high school in Nederland, TX., with several years inbetween growing up in Eunice, LA. She attended Texas A&M and Lamar University, and then started her family. She lives with her husband, George, in Waller, and has an adult stepson, son, daughter, and 4 young grandchildren.


    Carol currently has one dog named Miles, chickens, and MANY cats. She has always had a passion for animals and has been working with them for the past 20+ years, with 15+ being in the veterinary field.


    In her spare time, Carol loves to read, do crossword puzzles, and just hang out with her family.

  • Cathy

    Veterinarian Assistant


    Cathy is a native Houstonian and has known from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. She graduated from Texas A&M University in May of 2014 with a B.S. in Biomedical Science. She is currently working on a Master's Degree in Conservation Biology and plans to apply to veterinary school in the near future. 


    Outside of work, Cathy enjoys baking, crafting, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and volunteering at the Houston Zoo. She has two dogs, Thunder, a Border Collie, and Brooks, a Golden Mix. She also has a kitten named Pebbles. 

  • Cristina

    Communications Coordinator


    Cristina graduated from Texas A&M at Galveston in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. She worked at SeaWorld San Antonio for 7 years as a camp counselor and animal care specialist. Cristina worked with all the marine mammals in the park, but mainly took care of the health and well being of the bottlenose dolphins, seals, sea lions and otters. When her husband's career took them to Houston she quickly realized that she wanted to continue to care for animals and joined the CFAH family in 2012. 


    Cristina has a son, born in August 2013, and a dog daughter that keep her very busy. She loves everything Disney, and took up running just to participate in Run Disney events. Cristina and her husband love to travel, and can't wait to take their son to fun places all around the world.

    Veterinarian Assistant


    Hayley is an animal lover from Houston, Texas. Since her youth she has known she wanted to work with animals. She attended Blinn Community College in Bryan, Texas and Lone Star Community College in Houston. Hayley received her Veterinary Assistant Certification at Pima Medical Institute in May 2014.


    In her spare time she enjoys fishing, the outdoors, cooking and spending quality time with her family. She has two dogs that keep her on her toes; Marshall and Chewy. Hayley plans to continue to interact and learn much more about the human-animal bond here at Cypress Falls Animal Hospital.

    Receptionist


    Tanya is originally from Kentucky and moved to Houston as a teenager. After graduating high school, she went into Printing and Marketing for 20+ years. Tanya then attended nursing school, but decided to use her love and compassion for animals in the veterinarian field. She has learned something new and enjoying every day.


    Tanya has four grandchildren that she adores. In her spare time she loves antique shopping and making something old have a new purpose. Her other interests include going to the gym, scrapbooking, reading, and weekend travel.


    Tanya currently has a lab named Ruger and a chih-weenie named Nikki that greet her at the door each day with unconditional love as she arrives home.

    Curtis

    Veterinarian Assistant

    Curtis has always grown up around animals. He has worked with everything from a silver back gorilla to white tigers. Curtis is an avid outdoorsman who loves to go scuba diving and rock climbing to watch wildlife. After spending 3 years as a fish curator of a 75,000 salt water tropical aquarium, he has been working mainly with cats and dogs in a clinical setting.
     
    One of Curtis’ favorite bands is Run Rig and he is the father of 4 rescue dogs. He and his beautiful wife Kristen were married in 2015 at the Texas Renaissance Festival (and Yes he was wearing a Kilt).

    Receptionist

    Pat was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, attended University of Wisconsin at River Falls and received her degree from Edgewood College in Madison. She followed her Texan husband back to The Lone Star State. They have two grown children and one young granddaughter. Pat also has 2 rescue dogs that she loves like children.
